Utter Gloom

Where once there was the sun
Now there is the moon
It is now midnight
Where once it was noon

I can not sleep for anguish
I can not eat for grief
I toss and turn in sorrow
My prayers bring no relief

My happiness is covered in darkness
My joy has turned black
I have descended to the gates Hell
To never come back
