Briseis

Achilles once gave a mortal plea
That perhaps the Gods envy thee
The fleeting breaths we so require
Counting the days our souls expire
With our beauty at its final peak
Our loveliness we will not keep
Soon our troubles laid to rest
Thus the Gods desire perfection less
