The System

With my ink filled wand and riddled spells

I tell you things I should not tell

They plot my death but so do I

On my accord alone will I die

My tribulations double but I remiss

The case I plead they won’t dismiss

Prayers and hope have served me not

Perhaps I’m the one sheep God forgot

So much for the legend was me

This life is truly a horrible place to be

  1. a beautifully accurate poem that tells of the system that was designed to break your back – so that you lack the ability to stand and see the reality for what it truly is…a nightmare within a dream. I loved this piece so much so that I must thank you for sharing it, and have to inquire as to what it was inspired your ire enough so that you take the task of writing this piece without being asked?
