Absalom

You were viewed as Golden
The child who did no wrong
Not a shortcoming followed you
You became successful and strong

Your influence weighed a ton
All of your skeletons were ignored
No one dared to question you
You were praised and adored

But behold a piece of your shame
The one you call your oldest child
The black sheep and demon
A rebel born in the dark and wild

He gripped your name in his palm
And drug it threw every ounce of dirt
He was one of your skeletons reborn
The embodiment of all your regret and hurt
