My Day Again

I guess now is a better time than any
Now you don’t have to hold back anything from me
You always said what was on your mind but never how you felt
But I guess back then that’s just the hand I was dealt
We’ve had our fair share of up and downs but somehow we’re still down
No matter what was said we always seem to find our way back around
Maybe it’s a sign we should actually take a second to read
Maybe using caution and slowing down is all we need
I wish we could just spend the day together and reconnect
Remind each other why we were worth it despite being so imperfect
