In the quiet of my room
I’ve written poems for you
None I could bear to share
In fear of what you might do
But I wanted to share kindness
And perhaps add a smile to your day
For in this gloomy weather
It seems hearts have lost their way
So instead of a dozen roses
I’m sending you a dozen daises
Twelve smiles for these rainy days
Twelves suns to shine as you please
