I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again
You know the lottery, yeah, I really need to win
It’s a shame that I believe money is the only thing that can bring change
Judge me, do whatever you want, I don’t care if it sounds strange
You haven’t eaten as much Top Ramen as me
You haven’t been condemned to be loveless and lonely
Don’t get me started on dealing with all the racism in the south
You wouldn’t believe the things I’ve heard come out of white people’s mouth
Not to mention all the people in my family that need help
I don’t have time to think about myself
There’s Steph’s and Aunt Barb’s medical bills
my grandmother’s cancer and my other grandmother’s pills
Memory loss, depression and anxiety
My family and friends need more from me
They need Jesus, they need someone with wealth
They need someone who can afford to keep up their health
So, God, I’m begging you, please let me win this money
Please be the person they always thought I’d be
