The Beginning of Fall

Back on that lovely desert day
Where all my memories seem to stay
I didn’t care enough to cry or pray
My soul and spirit eager to fly away
I took thirty plus pills
Not many know how that feels
A week of different but divine dreams
Of places where nothing is as it seems
In a place between Heaven and Hell
I could no longer tell
But there was the one called God
The one who saw through Valentine’s facade
And to Hell I started to fall
And there was no one to call
Drifting in the pitch black
There was no one to bring me back
Accept He who calls me son
And forgives me for all the things I’ve done
And so I’m still here
The one who tried to die
The one who felt no fear
Awake and aware of the Devil’s lie
