To My Confidant

To my confidant if I actually had one
To the one who accepts me despite what I’ve done
It’s getting darker, it’s no longer fun
Demons all in my hear like, you’ve had a nice run
Passive aggressive remarks to all the girls I hate
Brutal truth to the ones I’d marry or date
I’ll never find love at this rate
But honestly it’s probably too late
Dinner with Arely and Natalie, it’s Friday
Those girls always seem to make my day
Looking for a salary and new place to stay
Holy Spirit whispering, I should pray
My dad still a piece of shit
My thoughts saying we’re a perfect fit
Voices still trying to convince me to quit
And you wonder why I always drink to forget
